Title: Two Banks in One Cabinet
Post by: tcva357 on February 22, 2014, 10:35:16 PM
What do yall think of this:
One bank of AGM'S and one bank of flooded batteries in one cabinet tied with a switch so you could use either bank.I do understand the hydrogen build up from flooded batteries, but if cabinet was ventilated before operating switch what do yall think?

What's the point?  How does two battery banks fit into your usage pattern?

It seems that sooner or later you are bound to apply flooded voltages to the AGM bank (bad).

I presume that your switch would be break-before-make?
