Title: AC & DC in the same MNPV6-Disco
Post by: freegirl on December 03, 2015, 03:49:18 AM
Newbie. The description of the MNPV6-Disco states: "AC and DC can be installed in the same box!"

So, If I am bringing in 4 strings of PV and using up 4 slots with 150v DC breakers... may I run the output from the inverter into the same box and use a single 120VAC breaker in another slot which would connect the inverter output to the AC input of the trailer I am providing power to. (Naturally there would be a separate bus bar for the AC).

Anything completely idiotic about this rig? :>

That will work just fine, It gets used a lot for a 600VDC breaker to the PV in and a 240VAC from the AC side of grid tie inverters.
