Title: Dead Brat also
Post by: CDN-VT on October 16, 2016, 09:04:46 PM
So in seeing I've got the load LVD & kid figured out , Maybe the Brat in 24V could power the electric fence & a gate.
I put the KID back in its box & wire up the Brat as to see if the Brat can also shut off the load . Rather have the Brat stuffed out in the pasture field over a KID .
this is the first time I opened the box & manual , I check all switches & figure the settings out . 20A cc & 10A load ,12v flooded & in F so LVD . Hook up load light 8w & then power supply 12vdc ,,RE -READ manual & try to find LEDS , I see cover I removed has markings of were the leds are to be on the board.. Dang , a dead Brat .
I read in the Manual on boot I get to see flashing Leds !! Nada !!
Is there any internal fuse ?? I see Inspector # 5 says alls good twice , & where is the Serial #

I am not Ryan but I would hope you would at least get an acknowledgement within a business day!

There have been intermittent trouble ticket issues if that is how you contacted them.

You can kind of bypass all that by sending ryan@midnitesolar.com an email with a description of your needs. He is often busy but does answer his email in a timely fashion.

Just a thought.

Tom Ryan is not  "support@midnitesolar.com" & that's where he asked me to send .
He is probably getting ready for the Bird house webinar course coming up .

I kinda felt the same as you posted Tom "at least get an acknowledgement within a business day!"

I'll give them a call , I haven't spoke to Michelle since last trip down ..

EDit Add , I spoke with the MN crew tech support Mr J & he got the ball rolling.
I'll update this again when I figure out what mr J ask me to check

Edit add 2
So I was asked if the Brat box had two white sealing tapes (proof of opening the box ) one cut with knife & the one i tore open on the original box ..
I needed to do a deep search for that box , since I was told ,about a 100 brats went out brain dead (Beta & some early sales) .they were needed reprogramming is all.

I have one , SO I just sent the board only out & the MN support team will see it by the end of the week .

Mr J pulled the quick one & I rushed into the Village to ship with the RMA all setup .

The ticket system still has a bug & the email Ryan posted was not acknowledged..
I'll update all when I know more ..

& it was good to talk with the MN crowd & Michelle again .

I sent in just the board .

I got it back today , checked the manual & set the switches , I GOT LEDS FLASHING as it stated .

No time to test & play as I had a few weeks ago/
Im mounting attachments on the new tractors , But the rain has a major hamper!!
