Just wondering one year later now ... will a new LA come?
Independend from AIR and run standalone on Windos, Linux, Android and Apple ?
If a private person like Graham can write such a amazing App for Android. Why can't do this a company?
I hate it now really, as I have to start a VM with Win on my linux for run the LA and I get really mad about this.
Dead horses don't run very well. (we say like this in G)
On mobile devs we all agree, its a real nightmare.
So whats on, what will come what time?
One of the issues is the Local App is only for the classic, So moving forward we have a bunch of new inverters and charge controllers coming out and we did not want to rethink everyone of them. We have decided to work on a very low cost communications box that will talk to all the Midnite devices and will then have the ethernet connection in it. We plan to have this be a webserver as well so that will eliminate the issues with platforms
Will the new box be able to support bi-di comms, so we can still control the Classic like the Local Ap does ? And support the Register functions ?
Hey that sounds very good idea!
So it would also be possible to access to the Classic via the box from multiple devices at the same time?
That wouls also solve a problem, if an app did not disconnect complet the connection and another app can not connect.
Please also enable the possibility we can use Graham's App with the box.
Keep us uptodate with it ;)
MERRY CHRISTMAS
As we are aware the Classic has a very small brain and thus only able to communicate with one other device at a time.... I imagine that if a/the small server could allow multiple connections to itself, it would allow multiple (2 or more?) connections...
I believe Zone Blue has a somewhat functioning BBB or rPi server at present...
ZB? comments?
news? :)
Some news? :D
I haven't heard from Zone Blue for many months now... he is in NZ.... :(
Any updates???
