Not sure why, but most 48VDC LVDs are for positive ground systems. We need an LVD for a negative ground to protect our batteries at an unmanned remote site in Alaska. Load current draw is less than 5 A.
Can anyone suggest a source or sources of supply?

Maybe check with this place - seems like they would know or maybe have what you are looking for .

Looks like this would work - says it can be grounded either polarity

Thanks!
I have contacted NewMar and asked a few questions. Their LVD 48-30 would be ideal, but it is positive ground only.

This one might work for you. I looked over the data sheet and manual and it didn't refer to positive vs negative ground.

Most are positive ground because 48 volt is common in telecom and many telecom systems are positive ground. Not really sure why though.
Found another option for you:

- LVTs for 12, 24, and 48 volt.
- Positive and negative ground approved.
- Looks like they have a number of options for your goals.
