Every thing has been working fine, then this morning I wake up to low battery with full sun. Kid says "check WB JR wiring". Looks all fine and tight. I don't see WB Jr blinking anymore. No storms but suddenly dead... I'd like to quickly circumvent the WB Jr but when I turn it off it still says check WB Jr. I hear a relay constantly clicking too. I'd love to charge my most precious batteries.
Any thoughts??
Turning the Settings to OFF should have done it..
Have you tried a factory reset? That is the first step to see if the gremlins are looose in your KID>> other wise disconnect the WBjr wire first,then remove it from the shunt if no change
So, is the Kid charging ? If so, do you have a voltmeter that you can check the voltage
coming out of the Kid and going to the WB Jr. ? It should show something around 12V to
14V DC or so.
The signal back and forth to/from the WB. Jr. pulses low but is mainly sitting at around 12V DC most of the time.

After turning the charger on and off a few times it is finally charging the batteries but still says check WB JR wiring. I'll try all your suggestions when I get back from vacation. Thanks,

Relay "K2" next to terminals inside rear of Kid was clicking wildly and still no charging from the PV even though I had 57V at the terminal. Called MS and they said just send the whole thing back... Let's try again. Greatest guys, they're sending out the new one immediately so I'm not without power.
Received the new Kid and it is charging! Yeah, BUT still no LED lit on the WB Jr and the display still shows "WB Jr unplugged, check wiring". WB Jr is back on the shunt as it used to be nice and secure with wire towards battery cable. Up at the back of the Kid, I had my probes on Battery neg and the WB JR terminal (next to other two aux) and I see there is 12.8 & 15.7V flashing alternately when my positive probe is stuck in the terminal with the WB Jr wire plugged in and neg probe on the Neg battery terminal. When I unplug the WB Jr wire and put the neg probe on it and the positive probe on the positive battery terminal it shows 12.6V. No other combinations of probe to wires show any voltage.
Could my new WB Jr have been killed by the last Kid? Hmmm...
Wasn't watching close enough. WB Jr is flashing every 5 seconds as it should be. Scrolled over in status display and it shows Amps (live), SOC % 98 ... but still flashes "WB Jr unplugged, check wiring". All seems to be working fine.?
Hi PK... Where exactly are you seeing the message, "WB Jr unplugged, check wiring" ?
Is this on your PC using the Local App software ? I don't think that the MNGP remote
has this type of message... If so, can you look on the MNGP display ?

The Kid display has this when in status screen, I think 3 clicks of the right soft key to see the WB Jr readings. It only flashes the phrase quickly. I was wondering if it corresponds to the blue LED flash on the WB Jr but didn't watch that closely as they are two feet apart.
I also had this happen . I went the same was as PK did , But I know my kid had a reworking from Mr S @ MS for a leaking cap .
I changed the WB-jr & all went back to normal . I have had two WB-jrs do this & will be bringing them down to The Gent beside Ms Cole to figure them .
