I have a MNBCM that I try to use to check the status of charge of battery banks. I have set it up and left it connected to the point that it reads 100%. But the indicator for the period of time since the last 100% charge doesn't change. Am I using this unit incorrectly. I usually connect it across the battery bank positive on one end of the bank and negative on the opposite end. I also check the batteries with a hydrometer and use this for a visual.
The Green LED will be illuminated under the following conditions:
FOR BATTERY SYSTEM VOLTAGE: 12v 24v 36v 48v
For Gel batteries, the voltage must reach 14.2v 28.4v 42.6v 56.8v (for 1 hour)
For AGM batteries, the voltage must reach 14.4v 28.8v 43.2v 57.6v (for 1 hour)
For Flooded batteries, the voltage must reach 14.7v 29.4v 44.1v 58.8v (for 2 hours)
You most likely are not reaching the peak voltage for the time needed.
