Title: In China
Post by: Sensatoliving on July 31, 2018, 10:12:23 PM
I am from Canada and have a home in Mexico where we run off grid. 16 panels Midnite 150 Classic and an AIMS 10,000 watt inverter. 16 6 volt batteries.

I am currently visiting China on other business but have meeting set up with a few battery manufacturers here. Giving them all the same specifications for a wall mount to replace our 16 6 volt flooded lead cell.

48 volt, 200amp lithium ion battery pack with 10 KWH .....

Any other suggestions?

Might be worth checking out manufacturers of lead crystal type batteries. They claim performance comparable with lithium but not some of the disadvantages of common lead acid ( they won't sulfate).  And you don't need all the BMS safety stuff that you need for lithium.
Soneil has one line but there are others and I suspect they may all be made in the same factory and labeled differently.

I have some of the Soneil and so far so good.
Let us know what you find out on your battery quest  - have fun !

MINIMUM CHARGE TEMPERATURE ##
the minimum temp for recharge of LiFePO4 is posted all over the Net as Zero *C, yet some manufacturers appear to claim recharge at lower temps, but have no test results to substantiate their claims...

you might want to dig into that issue, it is important to us above the 49th....

Fully integrated, FULL AUTHORITY battery management system designed so that no amount of charging/discharging mishap can damage the batteries.

No other way to do it as far as I can see.

You mean something like this!

Each 48 v battery is 16x 100Ah. Fortune, aluminum shell prismatic cells . Aluminum dissapates heat much better than plastic.
16 active cell balancing modules.  Programmable bms disconnect s battery at low or high voltage.

2 of these are connected in parallel for 200ah.

Cells run about $130 each
