Title: Local app working on pc but not on laptop through wifi
Post by: tmkelly1 on February 02, 2020, 12:15:23 PM
The videos were a great help in setting up the local app and creating the ip address' to work. I'm hard wired to the wireless router with both my pc and the classic 150's (2), and it all worked well. But my laptop which is on the wifi doesn't see the 150's on the local app.
I can log into the router and see them as clients, but the local app remains blank on the laptop.
Any suggestions?

Do you have the classics as dhcp or static ?
You can only have one thing logged in to  classic at a time.  Is there another computer logged in on Local App ?  Or an android ?

Make sure everything else is logged off .
Go into Local Status App on your wireless computer and the configure settings and try checking and unchecking the auto discover Classics or try putting in the ip address you see on router.

Just some things to try

Odd.  I have my classic 200, set to a fixed IP, wired to a wifi router.  My win 8 Laptop is 300feet away, and I have the LA set to look at the fixed IP.  Been working fine since first set up.   Also can access it via LA on android phone in the power shed, via wifi, works fine there too.

LA will only work with 1 master device, so start with no computer connected to it, limited to 1 computer/android phone

Maybe try uninstalling the Local App and reinstall it again.

The Classic piggybacks off port 80 which is a port normally used in browsing web pages.

If you have your laptop antivirus settings set to high security, it might be blocking the Classic's signal.

If you are in a place that is secure, try turning your security preferences to the minimum choice and try again.
