I am trying to find two items that I NEED (desire) to complement my RE install on our motorcoach.  If I knew what they were called it would probably help.  So, here I go, trying to describe them --

Item #1: "A Post Type DC Cable Combiner" to which several cables can be connected.
It is a 5/16" bolt, built on an insulated body that mounts onto sheetmetal or chassis.
It bolts into place, but it is insulated so it can be used to combine positive cables as well.
You would remove the nut from the bolt, put the battery cables on the bolt and replace the nut and tighten.  I am hoping to use this to connect three positive cables from the batteries to one positive cable that feeds the inverter.

Item #2  I am also looking for cable ends for a 1/0 cable that will connect to a 300Amp Circuit Breaker.  The breaker that I have has 1/4" post; that seems small and it doesn't give much room between the stud and the body of the breaker - any ideas?  Did I buy the wrong circuit breaker?

#1 - I think from the sounds of it, you are talking about a buss bar.  Like these?

#2 - you can mamke a very short 'jumper to go from the required fitting on the CB to the mext size wire you are using 4/000?
What size inverter are you using. I have 2/00 on my 1500W inverter.  A bit over-sized is better as I can go up in iinverter size without wire change.

It's not a buss bar, but thanks.  It serves a similar function and is insulated from the frame as is the buss bar, but it is a single 5/16 threaded stud.  There is one mounted on the motorhome, I will get a picture and post it.  The buss bar would work but it takes much more room than this item I am searching for and when working on a motorhome, room is a precious commodity.

I am using a 2000 watt inverter (more than I need, but more is usually better).  I will search for a jumper that will suffice, I guess if it's short enough I might get by with a #2awg?

You could get some flat stock copper and make your own...

That maybe the route I take - I'll get a picture posted first and see if that gets any feed from you or others.  Heck, I might even take it off to see if it gives up it's identity from underneath.  Thanks again.
