Big Kudos to Midnite for getting a UL listing on the Birdhouse Rapid Shutdown solution.

In the brochure http://www.midnitesolar.com/pdfs/rapidShutdown11x17_frontBack.pdf the diagram shows an AC coupled system.

Is there a BOM or diagram for DC coupled applications?  Basically I'm looking for a solutions where the "GT" inverter on the brochure is a MN Classic.

It looks like the SOB's top out at 40amps so I suppose that would cover most applications.  However with a 48 volt system the Classic 150/200's could have more than 40 amps input.  The Classic 250 can operate without limitation.  Maybe that is the key?  Any insights or comments are appreciated.

Thanks,

We are redesigning the SOB to handle 80 amps asap

Awesome!  I think the 80amp SOB with the remote trip breakers would make a complete DC coupled solution.  I'd still like to see an example or BOM with the new SOB once it is out.  There are so many parts now it can get confusing really fast.  Should we expect to see this on the market before Q4?

I also think it is pretty sweet that Midnite included a relay in the Birdhouse so that inverters with EPO dry contacts can be shut off remotely when shutdown is initiated.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks,
