Max amps for classic 150

 To all. What is the max amperage  the classic 150 can safely work with,  Today i recorded 90.1 amps into a 24volt batt bank and the panel voltage was 77.1  ( 12   250w  24v     4 strings of 3 panels)

 Thanks   wb,   i do not feel comfortable with such a high  amp and wattage for the controller  as it was running rather " warm" i guess i should remove 1 string  to another controller  "the kid"  and let the classic work a bit cooler

yes, that array is pushing it a bit heavy, it's easier on the electronics to stay below 75 - 80%. Don't forget about edge of cloud events either...

On the other hand, unless you have an aggressive oppurtunity load situation, how long actually will a controller run at peak amps like that. Not long, generally youre into absorb before you know it. Also the controller has its own thermal limiting, so will throttle as needed to protect itself.
