Does Midnite Solar offer a Manufacturer's Certification Statement for its products so they are eligible for the RE Federal Tax Credit?

I am confused about this Certification. I am seeing it on stand alone items like solar screens. Example here: www.sunrisesolarscreens.com/pdf/2011-tax-rebate-info.pdf

Then I am seeing a bug like the one on this site announcing their off-grid solar kit is eligible for the 30% Federal Tax Credit. http://www.bluepacificsolar.com/solar-energy/off-grid-solar/2160-watt-off-grid-solar.html

But I am not seeing where components of PV are eligible.

Are DIYers eligible for the 30% Fed Tax Credit?

The government sites are not clear on this.

They just say save your receipts and a copy of your Manufacturer's Certification Statement. (?!)

Do ya'll know anything about this?

Thanks in advance for any info you can offer.

All the best,

Last year I gave a detailed list of components, labor, construction costs etc to my accountant for a grid tie system on my house in Hawaii. Everything is allowed under the federal tax credit rule. The structure that holds the solar panels resembles a carport. It cost twice as much as the solar system itself, but was all deductible as part of the solar system.
I do not think we have a statement for this on our website. I will add one. Look under documents for it.

Thanks Robin. I've printed it out and it's on file. Now to keep going so I'll have something to deduct!

And thanks for the other info. In the great state of Texas, our tax break for adding solar is that they won't raise our property taxes for adding an improvement.
