this sounds like a thread i believe you had started a years ago on the subject. it involved a neutral that went remote and everybody was saying that it would be fine, but i said to use an spd from the neutral to a ground rod at that remote location. i guess neither of us got our points across that the remote location with that length of wire made a great pick up for surges.
