Win 10 with "Bad Firmware"

what browser are you using ? Try a different one . I don't know what to tell you if something is messed up on your computer.

Thanks again, tried it in the new Edge instead of Google and was asked to run it. Then I rebooted. I see the Fix and now the new 1811 firmware. Now I'm crossing fingers...

That was it Larry! Thanks so much. Something in Google must have been preventing my upload. Used the new Microsoft Edge and everything went smoothly... Now where did I write down all my settings? Just joking. Kid working as well as it can with snow falling...

So much for that update...

It worked just fine for two weeks. Then I came home today to find the inverter turned off (due to low battery voltage) and the Whiz bang showing 12.0V AND the DA_N lode contron reading "On" even though the display continues to show LBD/LVD to be 12.5 and Float.

Very pissed off now at this product. You obviously can't trust it to hold the memory.

So on the settings, First I just realized there is a bug in the LVD if it is set for reconnect on float then it busts the feature and it will never disconnect, For now you would want to set the reconnect to a voltage.

What settings are being lost though as I have never seen any settings that get saved be lost?

It must be the LVD as it is not disconnecting and found at 11.9v. Set for twelve .5v

Correct, now let's try again with this new keyboard. Thanks for the note of Not using Float. I'll try just a voltage. So who's minding the store and doing quality control? Anyone? Quite frustrated at this product so far. A hard sell to talk about to the hundreds I give lectures to.

PK, did you start a repair ticket (number?) with MN? 
My experience re problems has been great... actually nothing less than stellar for me at least...
Lots of support and they are not satisfied till it is right! kind of like Mike Holmes.

So it seems to be working when I set it at the higher voltage. I kind of thought MS would monitor this part of their Website to see all the problems being solved. They'd need a new employee from what I see here as it would be a full time job. Yes, Ryan has always been good taking care of us so I let him know the specifics.

I just updated to the new 1840 firmware.
Had the problem with the drive jumping in and out and Kid saying bad firmware. But I just went to the Midnite site and did the Windows 10 fix , restarted the computer , and that did the job- the drive showed up stable, dropped the firmware update into it - and it took . No problems now !
