Master current control

I'm wondering if Midnite is considering making it possible to control the collective current output of a number of controllers in a system?
Basically run all the controllers in parallel with a single control function.
It seems inevitable this will be needed to be done, IMO.

I think you are talking about Follow Me Mode which is there already .

Hi Eric,

And,  if it is not Follow Me that you are referring to,  then is what you want,   the Global battery Charge Current Limiting (Dynamic Current Limiting,  etc)

Here is an older Thread on this subject,  for Classics:
http://kb1uas.com/mnsforum/index.php?topic=3133.0

In reply # 22 in the above Thread,  HC Ryan Links to this White Paper:
http://kb1uas.com/MidNite/WhitePapers/Setting%20the%20WBjr%20current%20limit%20on%20the%20Classic.pdf

... Or,  if none of the above is what you are referring to,  please explain a bit more.

Thanks,   Vic

Vic, does the Wbjr do global current limiting?
I thought a Wbjr was needed for each CC and it only affected the controller it was connected to.
And if that happens to be on a master control unit then the other controllers would follow mode changes but each controller would regulate it's own current output independently of the other units.

Hi again Eric,

First,  I have not needed this function,  yet,   so have not used it.

BUT,  in reading the White Paper,  it does say,  that for multiple Classic systems,   EACH Classic would need its own WBjr connected to it.

Later,   will re-read that paper ...  outta time just now.

Unfortunately I dont think you will see this added just do to lack of resources (Everyone is working on inverters etc) We did get the WBjr current limit added as a work around but you need a WBjr for each classic if you need to regulate more than a single classics worth of current
