I just read the MyMidnite2 FAQ's at  https://mymidnite2.com/?q=node/17 decided to surf the issue a bit.  Came up with the following hits that were relevant:

http://www.graemenoble.id.au/post/48695277030/double-nat-explained-and-possible-solutions

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm

and this

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28220455/DHCP-problem-between-HughesNet-modem-and-network-config.html

all a bit aged but since the New Satellite is NOT operational yet STILL APPLY!..

Hope someone else finds this useful...

I forgot to add:

I spoke with Xplornet Canada and the rep said: They do not do NAT in the Modem,.... BUT
there is an IPV6 to IPV4 'translation done by the Modem,

thus, in reality there is a NAT like change done by the modem.....  :o :(

Moral of the story is to turn NAT OFF in you router if it is turned ON.  ;) and see if your through put improves....  he said that depending on the equipment used there may or may not be  a change...

It should not have anything to do with Double NAT, In reality, everyone has like 10-20 NAT as every router between us and where we go does NAT. That said I had double NAT here and My Classics used to call in just fine. There is a compression/Accelerator that Hughes net used that causes this. it can be turned off and the Classic will call in but the internet is stupidly slow on site and unbearable.

Thanks Ryan, that tidbit is good to know.  I did a lot of searching to uncover my in house  problem with bridging connections and Double/Triple Nat was identified on several forums as a potential issue ,as you noted , that can slow down things in transmission until they T/O.....

I also spoke/ was referred to 3 reps from Xplornet for > 2 hours,  about connection to the New satellite,  EchoStar 19... there is no #18 as it blew up on launch.... and ES#17 is ~ 25 years old! No wonder we have so many problems with it, it's an antique!  created and launched before NetFlicks was developed..??

Anyway I came away with the info that since speeds are up to 25 Gigabytes some of the issues of delay may be resolved.  As well there is a new modem needed, an HT2000 by HughesNet.... which has 2 manuals, first version 107 pages and V.2 at about 50 pages , both found by gooogling  ''Hughesnet modem HT2000'' and this new modem is user configurable in some aspects....   still have to read some of the sections past the index to see just what is usable...

Ryan , have you settled in work wise somewhere yet?
