OK so just noticed my 2 KIDs in sync mode are going to float before reaching the end amps setting. My master KID settings are as follows:

Whiz Bang Jr and shunt
Absorb timer is set to - 0 mins
Shunt set to - WBJR
End Amps set to - 5.6 (currently seeing 9A in float)

I see no reason as to why they are in float before they should be.

Probably because you have the Absorb timer set to zero .
It will go to float which ever happens first - Absorb timer or ending amps .
Set it with some time on the Absorb timer like an hour or two and see what happens .
Once I get ending amps figured out I set the Absorb timer long since you never know how long it may take for ending amps - that is why it is better way to terminate Absorb.

This is from the KID manual.

When End Amps are set, this function will act as a secondary termination to the absorb timer.

Going by that it looks opposite to what you said.

Assuming that is correct it really should be changed end amps before absorb timer.

1860. Updated afew days ago.

Unfortunately I can no longer do any testing today as my batteries are full and go straight to FloatMPPT after power cycling the PV input. I've set the Absorb timer to 120 mins So I'll see how that goes in the morning. Hopefully it doesn't result in the other issue i've had before.

That resulted in the master resting and the slave staying in Absorb.

I would put some time on the Absorb timer and see what happens.
If that didn't work then I would just try one Kid without sync  and see what happens
It is always possible something got broken in that newest firmware update. You will have to experiment and see what works or doesn't and report it .

I can't post a conclusive outcome today as the sky was 50\50 clouds and clear sky so the absorb cycle was drawn out with plenty of switches over to BulkMPPT. So i'm unsure if the absorb timer or end amps setting caused the absorb cycle to end.
