New Years Surprise: SOC reading stuck

No idea if it is related,  but long about 12:00am this morning,  New Years day,  my SOC stuck at 93% while discharging.  I did not notice it until about noon Jan 1 ... but when I looked at my Conext SW Inverter's battery monitor,  my batteries were at 73% ... but the classic still said 93%.  I began a charge using the inverter's AC charger (cloudy day) and as the bank went up beyond 93% SOC the classic still said 93% - The Conext Battery monitor and the Classic usually agree.

I am now at 100% on my Conext Battery monitor,  but the classic still reads 93%.  So I did a Bully Menu Reboot .... and now the classic says I am at 67% SOC.  Wow?   The time and date is correct in the Classic.  What is going on here?   ??? :o

Any ideas?   How do I do a 100% sync with the classic or reset the SOC?

When it recharges back through absorb cycle and gets to Float it will go to 100% SOC

Does your Conext and Classic share the same shunt ? I would think they would have to in order to count the same .
One thing the Classic does that some other battery monitors don't do is compensate the SOC with the battery temperature.

Yes they do share the same shunt,  and yes it did set itself back this morning at about 8am.   It jumped from 67% up to 100%.  The batteries were still fully charged so at 7am it started a bulk and at 8 it hit float and went directly to reporting 100%.

So it is indeed back to "normal" but still not sure why it went there in the first place.

If your batteries are in float all the time do you cycle them down now and then to mix up the electrolyte ?
Did they go into float right away in the morning because you had been charging them with generator already ?

No that was just for the day because it was cloudy on Monday so I gave them a good charge last night.  They had been at 73% Monday afternoon,  and I usually run them down to about 69% 2-3 times a week.

Cant post those pics right now.  The box is all closed up,,  but the leads to the Conext battery monitor are connected to the Shunt that came with the Whizbang JR.  The leads to the Conext Battery monitor at placed in under the spacers that go between the WBJ and the shunt.  The WBJ worked fine before I did this and seemed to work exactly the same after.  The Conext Battery monitor has been installed for over a month now.  Everything has played nicely together.

Who knows what makes stuff lock up sometimes - if it is fixed and doesn't happen again you may never know what made it go goofy .  Sometimes electronics brains just get messed up and need a reset.
