Reset SOC / Sync to Battery at 100%

I'm sure this has been discussed,  but I cannot find it in a search ... is there a way to Reset/Sync the Classic's SOC with a known battery SOC?  My battery is currently fully charged,  All cells are reading 1279 - 1289 (Trojan 100% is 1277) so I am slightly over charged.  BUT the classic 150 says I am at 98%.  How can I sync this So I am not trying to way over charge my batteries to reach 100% in the Classic SOC?

I do not have Net Amp Hours resetting at 100% SOC so I can know how many amp hours where taken out and how many were put back.  And right now I have a positive 64 amp hours but the SOC says 98%.    ???   Is there a way to reset SOC when the system is clearly at 100%?

You can change the efficiency to get closer to 100% at  the point where they are full . Also  -
Yes there is a way to have SOC go to 100% full when it gets to Float - I think is WBjr reset - last menu item on screen 4 of Tweaks in MNGP and there is a place in Local Status app too- don't have it open now but I think it is check mark of last page of Config .

The Net Amp-hours tally can be configured to reset every time the Classic goes
to float. To set this option, go to the “TWEAKS” menu and press “MORE” four
times. Select “WBRST” and press the UP or DOWN arrow keys to select “YES.”
Press Enter to save. “NO” (or no reset) is the default.

Larry,  would I increase or decrease the battery status meter efficiency setting to get it to go to 100% SOC sooner?   Right not it is at 94%.   But I am only reaching 99% SOC.  And I have a diversion load contingent upon the batteries reaching 100% SOC

All I see in the local app is the check box for Reset Net Ah on 100% SOC box.   That one resets Net Ah when the SOC reaches 100% but does not sync the SOC to 100% when the user has an SG that verifies 100% SOC.

Hi Matrix,

IMO,  94%  is far too high for Flooded batteries.   Probably should try changing it to about 85% for new-ish FLAs,   and see how that works for your bank.

Think that many of the Defaults in many CCs are for Sealed batteries (AGM/Gel),   and think that 94% is not a bad place to start for AGMs.

As LA batteries age (particularly FLAs)  the efficiency diminishes.

Just my opinions,   Vic

I think that check box resets the SOC to 100% when it goes from Absorb to Float .
Try it out .
Or the one that Kyle and I mentioned via the MNGP - which I think is same as above check box.

I'm Also going to try and do a Skip Day with the Classic.  Do I set "Days Between Bulk"1  before midnite tonight to skip tomorrow's charge cycle?

Will the CC still provide Watts/Current to loads as needed even though it is not charging?

Matrix,

You should set the Skip Day value today,  if you want to begin Skipping starting tomorrow.

With any reasonable value of Vflt,  there will be considerable battery charging done during Float.   There should be all of the PV power available for your loads when the Classic is Skipping days,  just as it provides when in Float (or Float MPPT),   as would be available on a full-charge day.   Technically,   of course,   there will be MORE power for loads during the time that the CC is NOT doing a full-charge,  and the battery voltage could exceed the compensated Vflt,   but is at Vflt due to the Skip  (because the battery is not demanding more current,   that would be needed to raise the battery voltage above the compensated Vflt).

And,   also fairly obvious,  you will be heating your FLAs less,  on average,   due to fewer charge cycles at or above Gassing Voltage,   per week/month/year   ...

Have been Skipping Days since this great function was made available in FW version 1849  --  works great!

Good Luck,   Vic
