I have talked to a few boaters (used for deep cycle house banks) now that have been using Carbon Foam batteries for over a year and they have nothing but good things to say about them.  Anyone here using them off-grid yet?  They do sound interesting.

I'd love to get a set to play with, but my flooded Trojans seem perfectly happy still...

I'll consider them when this set is worn out, if they're still on the market and still have good reviews.  They look like a very promising improvement (I assume you're referring to the FireFly ones), and I'd love first hand reviews of how they're holding up for sailing use!
