Rev 2193 For Windows and XP

I'm having problems with Windows XP on my old laptop and Rev 2193 For Windows firmware update. I can run the old installer no problem but the new one just terminates with an error message. It's been quite awhile since I updated my Classics (2015 firmware) so I'd like to bring everything up to date but I only have this one Windows computer. Any suggestions appreciated!

If you can load up the old installer you should be able to unzip and import the 2193  .ctl files  and 2193   . REM files into the folder of the old installer.

Once they are in the installer folder it should load the newer files instead of the old files. Just to be safe you can also remove the old  .ctl files along with the .REM  files then import the 2193 ones so the installer has no other option.

Then update normally.

Kyle, do you mean .... waiting for the cows to come home before  the update is completed or is this a newer version of the old NT one that moves faster than a dead snail?

Not sure how fast a dead snail goes but the older .BAT files will need to be right-clicked on
and then EDITed and replaced with the new  .REM  and/or  .CTL  file name so that the
updater .EXE can use the correct new file.

XP used to be my favorite OS because it appeared to work better....  That is until we finally got the
Windows 7 and/or  Windows 10 updater to work well.

Thought the newer updater for 7 & 10 would work OK for Win XP but I guess not ?

boB, the new version of loader that runs on my W7 laptop has spoiled us .

Now I would never go back to XP for updating... sad but true... the new one is super slick.
