Where is the Bluetooth dongle progress? It will be available for the Kid I hope. This is where it's seriously needed as there is no local app possibility.

I don't ever remember hearing anything about a bluetooth dongle for the Kid . The Kid only puts out a limited amount of data via serial . There are other forum discussions that detail how to connect to the kid to get that data and how to interpret it.
Midnite said they aren't putting any more development into the Kid so what there is now is most likely all you will ever get.
It would be up to  you to connect something that could send the data out via bluetooth .

Look in the Open source discussions area for examples of how some people have used the data from the Kid in monitoring programs they made for themselves. I think the last one was  Node Red Kid monitoring

At this time we are not officially working on anything like this for our legacy charge controllers.

If you buy a TV set and it works and gets in all the channels and watch it for many years , just because the manufacturer doesn't add new features to it would you declare it dead ?
I don't understand why you look at the Kid charge controller any differently - it works and does the job it was designed to do . Midnite is working on new and different products so puts their time and energy into those.
If any bugs in software are discovered , Midnite does work on correcting those. But at this time the Kid is pretty well proven .
