Hi desert..,

Proper wiring of the batteries can help,   some to attempt to balance loads and charging.
smartgauge has diagrams:

Frequent measurement and logging  the SG of each cell of each battery will let you know how well all of the batteries are being charged  and the balance twix strings,  etc.   Use a good Hydrometer (or Refractometer).   Wash the Hydro several times in Distilled Water after each SG measuring session to help keep it accurate.

Get and use a battery/system Logbook to record the SGs from each session,   record EQs and duration,  charge/EQ voltage settings,  etc.   This helps troubleshooting,  seeing trends,   and judging the effect of changes that are made to keep things happy.

Most systems are not perfect,   good to strive to make them as good as one can,  given what one has to work with   ...   and so on.   Good Luck,  please let us know how you are doing.   Vic
