Noticed these are on the market from reputable sellers. What are the reviews? Are they any good?

I do not know about the Phocos product, but MidNite will have its own Chinese imported hybrid inverters and a charge controller in about a month. These are labeled the DIY series. We have been testing them for years and with some minor changes are going to fill a hole in our product line where we cannot compete.
More on these soon. This is the first anyone has been told about them.

Robin,
You posted this a month early, April Fools is next month.  ;)

Well from what I gathered after some research is that phocos is a German based company. However, there is some skepticism with the Any units(3kva/5kva hybrid). One forum site claim it is a repackaged MPP(A chinese/Taiwanese) hybrid inverter/charger.
I have personally seen some of these unit in action they are impressive for the price but still lack some important features like surge capabilities and more alarmingly longevity and output quality of power produced.
They seem to prosper in small installations.

No April fools. Really! The first shipment is about to be leaving on the water in a couple of weeks. The first shipment is relatively small and won't last long far as we can tell? You never know with new products.
We have 100 3000W 24V 120VAC inverter chargers with a 60 amp 150VDC MPPT coming.
100 3500W 48V 120VAC Inverter chargers with an 80 amp( I think) 150V MPPT coming.
100 60 amp 150V MPPT units with blue tooth optional dongles
and some sample 3500W and 5000W 230VAC 50Hz Export units coming.

This is our first order. I expect them to do well with the DIY crowd based on our first hand experience having tested these for years now. I do not know how much surge the inverters have? I do not expect surge like we are getting with our B17 and Rosie inverters, but then they will not cost as much either.
They do not have UL or ETL, but the construction is good enough to pass those requirements. That is the main difference (and price). We cannot build products with these features for this price, so we are having them built for us in China. We wouldn't be doing this if we thought it would hurt our good name. They are very solid products. They just have a more limited feature set.

I would also like to share that I have had the opportunity to look at the Phocos 3000w 48v being tested by a local retailer.
Based on what I observed the Phocos did pretty well  it handled both inductive (a 2000w hot plate as main load) and 7/1/4 " power saw.
