PWM on resistance load causes flicker on LED lights

Are your Solid State Relays zero cross turn-on  or  anywhere in the AC cycle turn-on ?

I have a Crydom zero cross relay ordered and on the way.
I just found this info that is helping me understand the zero cross turn on and turn off

Yes !  Synchronous is the right word.   They all turn OFF at zero crossing.

It will be interesting to see if the synchronous version is any quieter.   

I would think it might be but complete AC cycles or 1/2 cycles will still be missing so it may not help much.

Gotta find out though !

I installed the Crydom SSR D2425K which is zero cross turn on . It still flickers some but I don't think it is as pronounced as the other relays were doing.
The inverter doesn't make as much noise as with the other relays either.  Of course I need to do a bit more testing .
