Post by: giduddy on March 18, 2016, 10:34:19 PM
Hello all,

I have a few Jacobs Wind Electric turbines and looking for somebody out there who can make/carve blades for these.  I have a super nice set that i can ship one to whomever can do this.

any suggestions??

thanks!

Dustin,

There is/was a shop in Santa Rosa,CA that did just that, they had a large duplicating lathe that carved new blades using a router guided by feelers on your model.....

Santa Rosa Woodworks
Santa Rosa, California

This is all from memory, I have no records going back there...That shop may be gone but find the operators, that CNC modeling lathe was built for just this

Thanks David for the reply, I've done extensive searching for this place, but either they are not on the internet (which is possible, but difficult to not be on there) or they no longer exist.  I guessing they are shut down.  but thanks!!

I'd asked these guys if they can carve a Jacobs blade.

You can carve your own, like in this restoration.
