Title: KiD - OVR LED explained
Post by: pobox88 on March 27, 2017, 01:44:33 AM
OVR LED:

The OVR LED can indicate one of three operational parameters for the KiD:

1. Over voltage - a voltage over 150VDC being supplied to the KiD from the PV Array.

2. Over temperature - above 59C, the LED is on
N.B. above 70C the KiD will shutdown automatically

3. Over current - at 30A the KiD is at its maximum charge current, LED is on.
N.B. If you set a maximum charge current below 30A, like I have at 23A, the LED will turn on at 23A.

Also, the LED will flicker in response to a fluctuating state e.g. as max current is "dancing" around the maximum current set point, due to clouds etc.

This info is from a MS webinar I stumbled across on Youtube. It's one hour long and contains plenty of info, along with some little nuggets
of gold like the OVR LED explanation.
