Okay just got an Alert message on the LA that says "Ethernet Configuration Unlocked". So what is causing this alert and how is it rectified?
This isn't an alert so much as informational. It means that the Ethernet Unlock jumper is installed so that you don't have to enter the unlock code to write registers to the Classic.

Thanks, Andrew
Would a rewording of the message be more useful/helpful? Like Ethernet Jumper in Unlock Position or ?
I got this too when I installed my refurb Classic today. Is there a way to get rid of it? My other two Classics don't have that notification. thanks.

Remove the Ethernet Ulock jumper on the Classic main board, lower right side IIRC.
Thank you Resthome...appreciate it. Is their anyway you can post/send me a picture of which jumper to remove? My e-mail is jacotenente@yahoo.com Thanks.
