Disconnect order Make/Break or Break/make

Is the MN transfer switch a Make before Break or vice versa?

I am looking for a transfer switch that will change over from PV/battery to Gen when I start it up, but thinking this through I realized that it might be better to make first in case the fridge is running.

Comments?

All of our switches are Break before Make. You would likely get bad things happening if it was Make before Break do to back feeding.

thanks Ryan, so how does one mange the 'break' on appliances that are 'in motion' when you 'break' without causing hiccups?

I was looking at some auto-transfer switches and I saw 14 mili-seconds for switch over time, which seemed , to me , to be quite seamless.
