OK before we shut down for the winter hiatus I had installed 1 WBjr, on Cl 647.
We now have internet at the cabin and \i was looking over the display and refreshing my  memory for what the WBjr will give me and my current settings..

I found the "UPDATE" section under Settings / Config.  I  looked into what it might do and it tells me there is V 0.3.65.

I  Status / Overview I have REV 4

I looked on the MN  software list and it tells me the latest FW is REV 1933....

What is the Update in the LApp option going to change???

For the Classic firmware if you are using Windows you can look in the C:\MidniteSolar directory and look for the Readme-Changes.txt file to see what changes or corrections have been made to each firmware update.

As far as the Local App. My belief is you need to keep it up to the latest version so that it matches any new features that have been added such as the WBjr. This way the two are kept in sync as best can be. There is no change log for the Local App that I am aware of. There should be an it has not had it documentation updated and is very out of date. IMHO MidNite's choice seems to be online videos verse documentation but both can get out of date and out of sync with the software changes.

Thanks John..  It's been a while since I used the LA and forgot where the Ver  etc was hidden..  Did an update and looks OK  other than I when I went to display the data for the "DAY" and it is blank, though the hourly data is there...???

You might try clicking on the calendar icon and make sure it is selected to today's date

We have been at the boat for over a week and the LA was logging data every day until last nigh and now when I select data live I just get a spinning circle and it says loading. Never will show the graph. I've tried reload the LA, Air restarting Laptop, rebooting Classic nothing fixes it. Reloaded 3.61 still no fix. Think I will have to wait for Andrew to jump in on my other thread.

Hi John, I just doubled both  arrays today, 2 to 4 panels, 560W each, rest of panels to go up when we get more construction completed,  don't want arrays to be affected.... am
Well the data logging must have started to work as some of it is there, will see what we get in the AM....
a long day so going for a snooze...AM is about 06:00 here on the lake... ...

well the LA logged the data for the shot time after I reconnected the larger arrays...

But this morning , it tarted dropping the connection ,  locking up my laptop for ??? minutes and then reconnecting....  multiple times  every 4 to 5 min.....

I've seen the same thing. And then it will start to work without the disconnects for long periods of time. I'm convinced that it occurs most often when you are looking at either the Live Data or the Offline data although it can and will disconnect just monitoring on the status page. it is one nagging problem Midnite has not been able to resolve. The current Alpha firmware that was suppose to address this does not fix it for me. Even boB has admitted he has one that is connect on Wi-Fi that disconnects and then reconnects,

Just let the LA run with it's status page up and don't go to the data screens and see if it settles down. And make sure the Classic is not setting on any of the Log functions because that can cause the Classic to reboot.

Are your disconnects reconnecting autmaticly when back to Green but with the disconnect message. If so it will continue to log all the data and it will all be there for export to the CSV file.

Hi John, once the resets started I turned the power off till the evening and when I reconnected, the logging had continued, I think, as I  had the graphs for the WBjr still available for the intervening hours of shut down.

We head for town this afternoon.  Some rain and showers right now, so low input but  still on the  + side...  back on Sat.

Have left the inverter & WiFi running to watch for any disconnects, none 'seen',  Then I looked at  my reports and graphs etc and noticed this....

in Status /  Overview the NET Ah = -675, yet
on the graph the net Ah = -1190 Ah...

I have no idea where it has generated that number...????
At first I thought it might have been a doubling of the 675 but no that is not it...

I have never paid attention to that so not sure what mine would show on the graph.   There are three WBjr AH values I wonder if some how one got interchanged. There is a WBjr AH (+), a WBjr AH (-)  these two are accumulated values until you manually reset them. The last one is WBjr AH (net) and that is typically the daily value and should reset to zero (0) when you go from Absorb to Float. I posted a question last week about why it does not reset when going from Equalize to Float as this creates a large positive value which should be reset to see how many AH are removed during the evening when there is no sun and the Classic is resting. I haven't gotten a reply from the Midnite folks on that. Somewhere in the forum there is a thread on the Net Amp Hour topic with some comments from boB.

I am leaning towards the fact that my charger does NOT go to the negative buss in the Epanel, YET , but to the Neg battery post... and I had to do a long charge to recover from winter , no charge over winter related low Voltage when I got there.

Yes, I also wondered about the Midnite Zero-ing on the register... ???

Yep, One end of the shunt should only have one connection to the negative battery terminal all other connections go to the other end of the shut. So if you have the Classic BAT negative connected directly to the battery negative you will need to correct that. And the WBjr needs to have the purple wire pointing toward the battery cable side of the shunt.   :o

AH, I left out the word OMNI  in  OMNI-charger, that's not the Classic charger  ::).  The WBjr is working like a champ, I just have not been satisfied with my connection options for 4 ga. wire into the neg buss bar in the Epanel..... as well as I seldom needed to use the charger, had planned it that way.  :) the O-Charger was a just in case fall back, that happened due to 2 feet of snow that stopped us getting back before the snows hit!   :-[ :o.., and especially before I ever heard of the WBjr.
