Title: How to identify which model Classic installed?
Post by: summerswood on October 30, 2014, 02:58:29 AM
I am helping a neighbour with his offgrid system with a newly installed Midnite Classic but I don't know how to identify the model.

System specifications are 24V battery, 1000W panels as 4x250 in series so panel voltage is 134V when at 27.2V float.
I worry that the panel voltage seems very high if the model is Classic 150.

So my question: How to identify which model is this Midnite Classic charge controller? 150/200/250?

PS I have an all Outback Solar offgrid system myself so well acquainted with the concepts of very high VOC in winter.

On the right hand side of the case is a sticker that says "MidNite Solar Classic xxx" If that sticker is gone push the status button a few times it will come to a screen that says Classicxxx

If all else fails taking the cover off should reveal stickers on the inductors and Ethernet jack saying the model
