Using Outback Epanel with different Inverter

Please excuse my ignorance on the nitty-gritty details of epanels.

I've come across a steal of a deal on a MNE125ST-L for Outbacks.  But... I don't have an Outback.  I will, however, most likely have a Samlex PST-1500-24 in the near future (Unless Midnite releases their inverter soon)

My question is: is there anything that would preclude me from using the epanel with an inverter other than an Outback?  I don't have to meet code nor does it have to look pretty.  My only requirement is that it works.

Thanks

Physically there is no issue. The Epanel is designed around a particular inverter but at its core it is breakers and wire. So if you are OK with some creative wiring that it will work just fine.

Thanks Ryan.  That's good to hear.

I'm a cheapskate at heart, so any savings is good for this miserly old coot.

Rybren, I have to do the same thing, can you post a few pics of what you did, and any hints?
Thanks

Eric,

Sorry, but I haven't got the epanel yet - I was just asking if there would be any issues in using an "Outback" epanel with a different inverter.

I did order it today, but based on the amount of snow we still have on the ground here in Ottawa, it will be at least a month before I can get into my camp.  Then I have to build a shed, mount the panels, wire everything up, etc

You'll likely be done before me and should post the how-to  ;D

Got you beat.  I've got at least 4 feet on the ground and there's probably close to 8 feet at the camp.

Man, it's been a long, hard winter.

we are about average but it came in big dumps this year, looked like an earlier spring but the overnights are heading back in to the - tens  again.  My bees are not going to like that one bit.
