I wanted to make a simple change to the End Amps for the fall/winter period so tried to use the Local ampp and it says "UNKNOWN'' with the IP address correctly ID'd, and a RETRYING message . had to close and reopn to get it to change but all I get is same as before..??
I don't remember if I have used the LA since we changed the ISP. we now have a STATIC IP from him.... I am wondering if that is part of the problem ? Yet the MyMidnite works flawlessly since the change...,
Hi Wb,
Here, we need to re-boot the WiFi Extender about every three months, when the Classic is not connected, or it takes many, many attempts to establish the connection. This is when another device connected to that Extender, works fine ...
So, it might be worthwhile rebooting whatever hardware that is connected to the Classic EtherNet port.
Just a random thought, from someone that knows very little about Networks, FWIW, Vic
thanks Vic, had thought about those sort of things , and discounted them as the MM2 was working fine last week (except for a few days when the Tech's were working on a bug) as was the Android APP , by Graham, also works.
I wondered if it was having a fixed IP on the router and again specified by the Classic settings?
The Classic is hard wired to the router and has a ' Switch ' to boost the signal strength in 100 feet of Cat 7 wire.
Back on site on Friday and I can start checking ...

If my Local App ever gets problems - not too often - but if it does I just switch DHCP back on and then let it find an address and if I want can then make that one static. The Local App should find the new ip address.
There is also a new Windows signing message that I get every time I open Local Status app that I have to close everything time and then it works fine.
