Auto EQ

Just getting ready to DL the latest software and I was wondering how the new AUTO EQ feature should be setup.

ALSO, is there a version ready to be released and might I be better off to wait.

Crazy, I DL'd the update, where is the AUTO EQ option?? Also the yellow light is on and it says "AMP LIMIT"...

EDIT: I found it... Whats the deal with the yellow light though? Never saw that before.

Is the Classic running (not "Resting") when you see that LED come on ??

Go to the "CHARGE" menu and then "LIMITS" sub-menu and make sure that the INPUT amps limit is sitting
at 99 Amps and not something like  9 amps or something low as well as the output amps limit.

The LED may take a moment to go off also.

Regarding the conversation elsewhere,  an EQ is probably a good idea for your bank ...


BUT,  IMHO,  EQs should be monitored.  Taking SGs at intervals of 30-or-so minutes.

Have not looked at how the AUto-EQ works on the Classic,  perhaps it asks for approval before it starts.

Have not EQed from a Classic yet.  Is the EQ voltage temp compensated on the Classic.   Should know this,  ...   but ...

Hey,Vic doing a EQ right now. I shut the place off for a couple of hours to let it run. Justa manual for now. I'll attempt the auto later...I will keep you posted

OK,  great Paul,

AND,  am assuming a bit,  but you should not have to shut off the inverter during EQ.  Most inverters will take 65-66 Volts on the high side,  but you might have to set the HVCO a bit higher than defaults.  Again must my assumptions on what you are doing and why ...  I have not ever shut off inverters for EQ here  with old X SW+es.

Sometimes if one had DC loads on the bank,  it is a good idea to shut those down,  tho ...   Have Fun with the new system,  Vic

I guess I just didn't know any better. I turned it off at the remote on the wall figuring any draw during EQ might disrupt the process. Man, talk about a rookie, this is my first eq...lol. Its up to 63.9v thats the setting. The equipment time is set for 120 min. and the sg is coming up gradually. It will be interesting to see if it improves things.
Meanwhile, I'm tapping away on my phone because the inverter is off.

Hi Paul.

Do'nt be too hard on yourself.  We are all rookies,  all learning!

When I did my first EQ with this current stytem,  I turned off my Inverters as well.  Think that it is a common concern,  when EQing from PV,  especially if one has experience with 12 systems,  where invertes often have a bat voltage max that is less than common EQ voltages.

Great that you are paying close attention to your battery bank.
