Title: Midnite in Australia
Post by: jimbo on July 30, 2021, 02:17:55 AM
Increasing solar so i need another Midnite classic. 2 electricians i have spoken to say that Midnite don't deal in Australia anymore. Is there any truth to this?

Cheers

James

I think Outback Marine still does ?
https://www.outbackmarine.com.au/

Also, Jennie at Independent Power in NZ
http://www.indepower.co.nz/

It's also on our website for Australia and some other countries.

I hadn't seen that part of the MidNite Solar website so I'm glad to find it there to verify my memory.
  Handy.

Is there a reason only 1 store has them? They used to be everywhere here. Australia is a big place.

The problem with Australia is that without inverters it is hard to sell the Classic there.
That is about to change though.
Then we will need to work on what distributor will be importing and servicing our stuff. There aren't that many distributors in Australia and we had many issues with a couple in the past. So, we are just waiting for inverters. Then the fun begins down under.
Thanks,
Robin

Australia has a new law on the books mandating some three million new residential solar installations in the next few years.  That's a lot of charge controllers, inverters and other stuff needed on the market very soon.
