Series or Parallel?

I'm in the process of putting solar on my motorhome. I have two 160 watt panels rated at 21.6 Voc and 17.9 Vmp. Using a Kid controller and trying to decide between running them in parallel or series. I know series will give me more headroom but will that be offset by the shading effect as many times I'm not always parked in full sunlight. Opinions?

If you have a shading issue, parallel (2P)  is the best way to get the max output of all the panels, over the day.
If you wanted more headroom for a short period in the day, 2S would give you that as long as you were shade free at that time. But at a possible loss at another time of the day...

your choice as to what is best for your setup, being that is is a motor-home.
