1).  Is it possible to add more breakers on the MNDC-15 after the initial installation without disassembling the box or removing it from mounting?  This is not clear in the drawings as it looks like the breaker rails mount from the back of the box.

2).   Is it possible to mount a 125 amp MNDC breaker where the MNDC-175/250 is placed ?

3).  Is there a mounting place for a Whizbang jr. And shunt?

Quick answer would be appreciated as I would like to purchase today on NAWS 5% off holiday sale

Yes the breakers can be slid into place after words

Yes I believe it is. I would need to go look at mine to verify but I am 99% sure it is the standard KO for the 125a breaker where you pop out the 2 pcs for the larger breaker

3).  Is there a mounting place for a Whizbang jr. And shunt?

Not as such. There is room you would have to add the holes to mount it though

Ryan,

My understanding is that the standard Carling C series breakers are 3/4 inch wide but the 125 amp is 1 inch wide and the 175/250 are  1 1/2 inch wide.  I think that a 175 amp main is a bit too big for my system. What I had in mind is to mount a 125 amp in the end of the box where the 175/250 is supposed to go.    I don't think the 125 or the larger ones will mount between the rails as the C series do.

Well there is always a drill and file........maybe there is an adapter to do this.....like the adapter to mount a C series 3/4 inch wide in place of the 1 inch wide ones.   I searched your we page but did not find one.

//edit//.   Went back and checked the sizes.  The MNDC-125. Is a Carling E-Series and the MNDC-175/250 are Carling F-Series......way too large to fit where the C series go......I want to use MNDC breakers for my panel disconnects as well as DC distribution breakers

I want the 125 as a main battery disconnect but as it will feed the cc and inverter breakers As well as the DC distribution breakers I suppose that the 175 would protect me as well.

By the way......love the classic.......feel like tossing those tracers in the trash.....wasted money!

Sorry

The MNEDC125, 175 or 250 fit in a single Knock out in the end of the MNDC15 not in the rails with the C series breakers. We have a standard Knock Out we use for that and it allows for all 3 Amperage breakers.

Ryan

I did find a knockout on your web page but is for a c series 3/4" to fit into a 1" opening maybe e series opening .    The knockout for the 175/250 is a bit bigger than the one for the 125

Looked at it and it is made for the 125 amp or for the 175 or 250 amp breakers

Thanks Ryan,

I already have my order filled out at NAWS will be so happy to recycle my current setup which is a jumble of wires and get into a MNDC15 with that neat skull logo on it.

I am impressed with the thoughtfulness of your designs, do you get any sleep with all the thinking of how to do it best?

Thanks again.......David
