To all. What is the max amperage the classic 150 can safely work with, Today i recorded 90.1 amps into a 24volt batt bank and the panel voltage was 77.1 ( 12 250w 24v 4 strings of 3 panels)

see table1 in the manual, 94A 2700W
Thanks wb, i do not feel comfortable with such a high amp and wattage for the controller as it was running rather " warm" i guess i should remove 1 string to another controller "the kid" and let the classic work a bit cooler
Jason
yes, that array is pushing it a bit heavy, it's easier on the electronics to stay below 75 - 80%. Don't forget about edge of cloud events either...
On the other hand, unless you have an aggressive oppurtunity load situation, how long actually will a controller run at peak amps like that. Not long, generally youre into absorb before you know it. Also the controller has its own thermal limiting, so will throttle as needed to protect itself.
