I have 2 classics 150 & 150 lite, if I connect to my midnite server, can I limit the data sent, Im using a shaped 3G internet service where my off grid system is located , is it possible to send updates  every 15  mins rather than every few seconds ??

Data is sent to My Midnite around every 13 minutes. I think Andrew may make this adjustable very soon.

Ryan-

Count me in (finally got the latest firmware installed), though I may have the same 'hillbilly internet' issues as Tom. DI sent to you via PM.

My Classic 150  307A485A is showing up now in both locations.    :)

Will be interesting to see what happens if the WiFi link I am using drops. It has a sign in page that the auto login does not work on.

Any news as to why not all of the classics that are showing up as dialling in over the last 24hrs are not showing up on the 2nd detailed page linked earlier?

Is the plan to have everyone's data viewable to all?

Looking forward to being able to view my system from smart phone.

Kurt.

Node 14 can only support so many Classics. Andrew found a quirk in his database and we now have 1200 plus classics calling in. So just because you do not see them in Node14 is no cause for alarm. We should be opening My MidNite up very soon to you all for testing ETC

Wow more than  1200 classics dialling in already! They are taking over the world.

Seriously though When it's up and running it would have to be one of the biggest live and wide spread renewable energy production databases around.

It looked good. However, viewing the connection date/time most had the same time yesterday. Now 24 hrs later they are all gone and its back to about 65 connecting classics. I hope they all come back

My guess is a lot of those are older code and will try calling in but not pile up data. So that would account for all the call ins yesterday when they where added but they would drop out after that.

Hi Ryan,

Do you think that the number of 1200 Classics calling is realist ?

By default, the web access option is disabled.

Secundly, what you describe is the result I obtain with the latest Beta Firmware !

How is the call made from each Classic to the MyMidnite servers ?

Is it a http request with parameters enclosed ?

If Yes, I can simulate calls with a NAS Cron every 13 minutes, to validate your procedure.

If No, Isn't it a protocol that is filtered by some FAI over the world ?

Sorry,

in France, FAI is  "Fournisseurs d'Accès Internet", for you, I think I should translate to Internet Access Providers.

Yann;

Good point. Lots of Service Providers filter (incoming at least) protocols like mail. IRC, HTTP, etc.

I assume the connecting Classics are those with the latest 1370 firmware. My two, 8CF95262 and 200BA94A both connect every 13 or so minutes but my third Classic  D2AB656C running 1181 has never connected although web access is enabled and dns servers are all good.
Only occasionly do I see one or two lines of details in the node/15 display, often my Classics are not there despite the regular connection.
So with connecting now proven what next?
Will MN maintain a security file of users to Classics? and to view details a userid and password need entering, to show a list of Classics that can be viewed with details displayed after selecting one?

My Classic  (B1F9 2E0D) on FW 1181 is showing up.
My Classic has only been up for two days and is not actually doing anything at the moment.
I'll update to 1370 soon.
