Title: bipolar battery banks two 24volt to one 48v to increase MNcc power
Post by: ibeweagle on February 20, 2013, 10:22:05 PM
does anyone have exp.  in tying three outback's two in classic split 120/240 on a 24v bat bank  and a third one on 48v bat bank system to hub of 24v system to increase load capacity  for one side of 120/240 output ? update would be like a bipolar PV system only with battery banks tied in series and center tapped dc side then sinc 48v inverter to the two 24v inverters like master slave1 and ( (slave 2) 48v inverter) plunged into a 4 hub outback  This would give me the opportunity to change the 2 MN classics from 24 volts to 48 volts. Yes will have to watch the load on each side of bipolar bank to balance DOD and make sure ground ref is to ground fault in outbacks take off ground wire from neg bus of battery in flex500
