Title: PV theoretical amp hours

It would be nice if the Classic could monitor and record PV voltage though the day and with the battery bank nominal voltage calculate the theoretical available kwh and/or AH for a given day.
A yearly total would be nice to judge available kwh from a system to work out loads and battery capacities.

How about pvoutput.org?  Its free and you should donate if you use it as it is awesome.

I dont own a classic, can it output to pvoutput via the web or excel files?

It would be easier for midnight to export data rather than build a duplicate to pvoutput...

Yes nice if you have a network connection.
But this would be dependent on your usage during the day.
How would the graph look if you batteries were in float all day and no power was being used?

Per the manual... page 49

Data logged every 5 minutes is power, input voltage, battery voltage, Charging Stage, amps out and kW-Hours.

Data logged each day is kilowatt-hours, Float time in hours and minutes, the maximum power output for the day, maximum FET temperature inside the unit, maximum PV or input voltage and maximum battery voltage for the day.

Export it to excel and done.  Do some rough math on AH and done.  This will not account for battery age and consumption AH.  A battery meter would be best to monitor capacity over time.  A smart unit that logs like schneider or better would be ideal.  IMO the classic is logging all intelligent variables it can within its control.  Accurate battery AH is more complex than some voltage readings.  Also the classic has no idea of the actual designed AH size.  It knows kwh in, that's it.

It doesn't care if it is charging a Walmart lawn mower battery or a 3000AH unit...it just runs until the volt/timer set points are satisfied.  I am being stupid simple with this analogy as it has some serious brains but only sees what goes in to the battery, not how effective the charging was.

Pretty flat, but you would have to be in Skip Day mode to float all day without an Bulk and Absorb. It would only show what you need to get to the float Set point voltage and a small amount to maintain it.
