Title: Dumpload - a Resistance or a waterheater? Or both?
Post by: DanTheDane on March 28, 2019, 08:54:39 PM
Hi,
I have a midnite classic 200 - and a 2000 watt wind turbine (500-800 watt as it seems). It's rated as a 2000 watt turbine, 48 volt and 40 amps.
Specifications of the turbine:  https://www.istabreeze.com/online/#tab-attribute (https://www.istabreeze.com/online/#tab-attribute)

I'm not sure about the size of my dumpload. I read that there's a max. size of these dumploads. That your chargecontroller can handle dumpload up to a certain size. It was my understanding that the size of the turbine was what decided the size of the dumpload needed.

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated ;)

I don't know a lot about windpower but you might read this for more info to see if it would help in your situation.
