This is confusing me a little. If i read the instruction rights on wiring. It says to wire Battery + from CC to battery and then Battery - from CC to shunt?  And Inverter + to Battery and Inverter - to Shunt? And then from Shunt to Battery - ? Is this correct?
960 watts in Series & Parellel (24v) , Midnite Kid Charge Controller , 600 Watt 24v Inverter , 8 x 6volt T-105 Trojan Batteries in Series for 24v @ 450 AH. 500 Watt Wind Turbine @24V

Yes, all Positive wires connected as if there was no shunt.

Then shunt to battery Negative on one side of the shunt and all loads and all charge sources to the other terminal on the shunt.

Another way to look at it is only one wire should be running from the shunt to the battery negative (-), and that should be the only wire on that post of the shunt.  Any other configuration and current has a path around the shunt throwing your metering off.
