Hi everyone, 8)

I have 4 200w panels (24V inverter) that I can't get anymore of.

So I was planning to put them on a Kid and have my Tristar MPPT 60 service a new Array of 250w panels. Only to find out the Kid has no AUX functions at this time ;(  I need to control an external transfer switch via a 12V signal (LVD). This is especially important as the Morningstar has no native AUX ports.

Is this coming soon? :-\

This is the only thing keeping me from what would be my first Midnite CC purchase!  :o :o :o

How critical are the loads being fed?
Would a BRAT or 2  work?

Very critical .. my Mom's entire house (see sig). :)

If the AUX functions don't appear in firmware updates soon, I think I will do is just use the Tristar for the 4 panels she has now and get a classic for the next array. Either way I want a Midnite MPPT controller as I have never used one ;)

But the Kid would have been perfect for those 4 panels.. They put out around 24A at noon.

I believe you are wanting a low battery cut out function correct? The Kids Load circuit can do this already. If the loads are greater than 30 amps or not DC then use a relay powered by the load circuit

Exactly what I want. The loads will be AC and controlled by a 12V signal to a relay. When the battery voltage drops below 23.5Volts for 15mins, I would like to send a 12V signal to the relay to switch the house over to the utility.

Would this be similar to how the classic does it using the diversion setting detailed in your youtube video "Setting Up Aux1 Using Diversion" ?

Thanks,
David.
