Title: Proper fuse or breaker to use for Clipper output
Post by: Riverwind on August 12, 2013, 08:50:08 PM
Using a Clipper on a Whisper 200 I guess I need to replace the output fuse on the existing controller (100a) with a breaker so that the Midnite Classic can be powered down as necessary for firmware upgrades etc. Do I need a breaker that big? Alternatively can I leave the existing 100a fuse in the line and put a breaker after that just for utility (i.e. for power down etc.)? If so what size breaker would be recommended? Thanks in advance!

BTW, it's a 48v system.

Ooooo...   A bit late on the reply here !

Breakers are always nicer than fuses if you have it handy.

But since the MidNite Clipper has a brake-switch and an open circuit breaker,
you shouldn't need an extra one.  (I wouldn't think)
