Heya,

First time posting here, hopefully this is the right place!?

I have an off-grid system that contains 48v battery bank, Midnite classic 150 and Magnum MS4448PAE inverter, see the diagram below:

I would like to wire low voltage landscape LED lighting to this system and I am thinking to get a 48vdc to 12vdc converter (like this) but I am unsure where exactly should I tap the 48v from, are there some dedicated "load outputs" on the charge controller I could use?

Another option for the lights that I currently have is a simple 12v power supply that I have connected to the 120vac output of the inverter but I would like to avoid unnecessary energy loss due to all the conversions... Thoughts?

120vacto 12vdc power supply may Be your best option.
If you choose the other path tapping from battery is best this option in my opinion is more costly and elaborate
The Classic has a 12vdc output for stuff like this but it is rated at 1amp only I think so that may not meet your demands.

Yeah - you would need to add a breaker fed from the battery bus bar connections to get 48v out to a voltage converter.
