Need a little help with getting the correct SPD and how many.

Currently

22 - Sharp 250 watt - 24 volt panels
6 - Sharp 235 Watt - 24 volt panels   (Summer only 10 are online, winter all 28 are online due to reduced sun light through trees)
16 - 6 volt 210 ah in 24 volt series/parallel
1 - Midnite solar Classic 150
1 - 24 volt 2300 watt 120 volt AC power bright inverter
1 - 24 volt 1500 watt 120 volt AC power bright inverter
2 - 24 volt 3 phase 1200 watt wind turbines

Where would the SPD be installed.
1 - Between Panels and Charge controller
1 - Between Batteries and Charge Controller
1 - Between Batteries and Inverters
1 - Between Inverter and Circuit breaker box for devices like (TV, Cable Box, well pump, etc)
1 - Between Turbines and Batteries

Is this correct where I should have a SPD to protect my equipment.

I Want to thank everyone at Midnitesolar and everyone that uses this forum for all the help and great ideas.

Current Christmas list,
1 additional - Midnitesolar Classic 150 (I want two more but I know Mrs Claus will kill me)
2 - 24 volt heating elements to heat hot water
1 - 3500 watt 24 volt inverter.

Thanks
Mike

First rule of thumb I use is any wire over 50-100ft long gets an SPD on each end if that end is worth protecting.

After that I would say protect the Solar side of the Classic, The AC in and AC out of both inverters, The AC panel if it is more than say 20-25ft from the inverters and definately the 2 wind turbines (I usually protect them at the base of the tower and again in the house.) Some people use an SPD on the battery so you may want to use an SPD115 on the Battery + and - as well.

Ryan Would I be using the 115 or the 300 spd

Thanks mike

I would use the SPD300 on the PV and AC
