Gentlemen,

I will be wiring my batteries to my XW-Epanel soon. I know that the Whiz bang
goes in the negative lead from battery bank. Where is the best place to locate it? In
the battery box (Hum acid city) or the E-panel - maybe attached to bus? Please
bare with my stupid questions - I really am a Newbie at this stuff!

   Thanks and 73,

Epanel  or disconnect is the std location. If your epanel is a midnite product, there will be mounting holes for the deltec shunt.

The whiz bang attaches to the shunt.  The shunt is in the negative lead from the battery bank.  I believe that your ePanel will come with a shunt.
