Title: Remote Monitoring, Mate3
Post by: SeyLione on March 24, 2012, 08:29:22 AM
Hello,

I am considering a system with Mate3 from Outback.
As you seem to be linked with that company (?),
I would greatly appreciate guidance about what (har/soft) is
needed to link Mate3 to an USB 3G GPRS modem in order to:
- automatically load local data to my web site
- load data on demand from anywhere on my laptop
- eventually set some important parameters

Thanks for your tips
SeyLione

That is a darn good question. Unfortunately it will need to be directed to Outback. Although someone on here may be more familiar than we are with the mate3?

Since the Mate 3 doesn't have USB, and probably would not have HOST USB even if it did,
you are probably going to have to route it through a PC,  laptop or some kind of embedded
linux box to get the modem  linked up.

Darren Emmons, the Mate 3 guru himself at Outback would be the one to ask if you can get a hold of him.
